Bethany Campbell was born and raised in Omaha,
Nebraska, an only child who lived a lot in her imagination
(which was a more hospitable place than, say, math class or
gym).   A devout bookworm, she later became an equally
devoted fan of movies and treasures her autographed
pictures of Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks.

She attended college beginning as a chemistry major
(a disaster!)   After quickly switching her major to English,
she later taught and in her spare time wrote.  After marriage
and a move to an area where teaching jobs were scarce, she
turned to writing full time.

She wrote poetry, articles, short stories, and contributed
to textbooks, but finally decided to try a romance novel at the
urging of her mom and aunt, both avid romance fans.  To
Bethany’s amazement, Harlequin bought her story AFTER
THE STARS FALL and since then, she’s published 51 novels
and novellas for Harlequin and Bantam Books.  She’s won awards for romance, romantic suspense,
and poetry.

She met her husband, Dan, while both were graduate students at Northern Illinois University.  Dan, vice president of a film and video production company, also writes, and has had several short films and
plays produced.  A former syndicated humor columnist, he has two books soon to be published,
WHISKERS’ POND and CAT HOROSCOPES.

The couple have harbored many pets (they lost count soon after Dan’s simultaneously adopted two
raccoons, an iguana, and some very fertile guinea pigs).

Bethany dedicates this site to her little black cat, Majicka, her office mate and writing companion of seventeen years.

Majicka was faithful to the end, and was lying in her bed beside the computer desk when her spirit quietly left here and rejoined the universe.

     She is missed.
